In chapter 7, the little prince asked a queer question “if the sheep eat flowers, even if flowers have thorns, what’s the use of the thorns?” The author was busy with his engine, so he throw out “they are no use at all, flowers have thorns just for spite.”
The little prince was very angry about this answer, and he was even more angry with the author’s attitude of not taking this matter seriously. Because in his world, he loves a flower and if the sheep eats the flower, his world will be dark. In the world of little prince, love is a matter of consequence, but in the adult world, there are many important things that can get us lost, and we gradually forget what is really important.
