    The coin of Arizona

PAWP, paint a word picture. Describing a simple thing with more words than necessary. This is the first part of the series, and today we will be looking at the Arizona quarter.

If you don't know what an Arizona quarter is, it is basically a quarter. However the U.S. wanted to make a special quarter for the fifty states, and the Arizona quarter is the 48th one to be made.

On the head of the quarter, there is ahead, just like all other quarters. This head is the head of George Washington, who was a general during the American Revolution and later the president. He is shown from the side view, facing the left. On the left of his head under his chin, there wrote liberty in all caps. And to the right of his head in smaller fonts wrote in god we trust in all caps. On the top of his head there wrote the United States of America, in all caps. At the bottom of the head, there shows the value of the coin by stating "quarter dollar" in all caps.

To the other side of the coin. This side of the coin is the side that is a unique side. The project of making the 50 states onto the quarters is called the United States Mint's 50 State Quarters Program. This program release five coins per year in the same order as the states joining the states. This started in 1999, and the Arizona state's coin is made in 2008.

The coin is designed by Joseph F. Menna. In the design, there is one of the famous locations in the state, the Grand Canyon. One of the grand canyon there is a sun drawn showing either a sunrise or sunset. On the right side of the coin, there is a famous plant, the saguaro cactus. There is also a banner showing a nickname for the state, "Grand Canyon State". 509,600,000 of the set coin was made.
