从知识和见识而来的爱
“我所祷告的，就是要你们的爱心在知识和各样见识上多而又多，使你们能分辨是非（或作“喜爱那美好的事”），作诚实无过的人，直到基督的日子，并靠着耶稣基督结满了仁义的果子，叫荣耀称赞归与神。” 腓立比书1:9-11
要能够放心把自己放在那位“完成善工者”的手中，我们得允许他开工。因为我们是他的工作。9-11节是保罗的祷告，关于如何求神在人的生命中动工。他求神将属神的爱浇灌在我们里面，多多益善，直到丰盈。这不是我们在电影里看到的那种情绪上的爱，这爱是因着知识和见识来的（第9节），特别是指对神和对神的爱的认识。认识神（神就是爱），明白他的观点和真理，属神的爱就会在我们里面增长。于是，我们能够分辨并喜爱那些美善的事，行事为人无可指责（第10节），并结出仁义的果子（第11节）。
也许神就是借着这个方法来成全他在我们里面所开始的工作，借着这个方法将我们陶造成耶稣的样式。他先向我们显明他自己，他喜爱什么，喜悦谁，以及爱的缘由。当我们越来越认识他，我们就会越来越爱他，越来越想成为他的样式，这是圣洁生活的开始。你愿意这样为自己祷告吗？这样祷告，表明我们想要更多认识耶稣并明白他的心意，想要更新对他的爱并开始为他而活。你愿意吗？

Philippians 1:9-11.
“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.”
To be confident in the hands of the master craftsman, we need to allow him to do his work. For we are his work. Verses 9-11 gives the prayer of Paul for how to ask God to work in people. He asks God to allow the work (us) to be filled more and more with the love that comes from God such that it flows to abundance. This is not an emotional experience of love that we see in movies, but comes learning about the God of love: verse 9 says knowledge and discernment. Knowing the God of love: his perspective and his reasoning, we will be abundant in God’s love. As a result, we are able to distinguish excellence from folly; we could start to live a pure and blameless life（v10), and bear fruits of righteousness (v11).
Perhaps this is how God is perfecting the starting work in us and shaping us to be like Jesus. He is first showing us himself, what he loves, and who he loves and the reasons for love, and by knowing him, we start to fall in love with him more and more such that we want to become like him and therefore start live a godly life. Is this a prayer that you want to pray for yourself? It is to desire to know Jesus intimately and to find out his heart, and by doing so, fall in love with him anew and start to live for him. Ready?
