It seems like a fantasy story but very realistic. No matter the baker,crystal merchant or the English man, or everything Santiago went through which can remind me my real life.
The baker is just like the nomal person with a stable job who our parents want us to marry to.The crystal merchant represents those person who are satisfied with current situation and afraid of changing.The English man shows us persistence for dream. Fatima is one's true love who will show you respect and understanding forever.…All those people and things we encounter in our life are testing us if we are longing enough for our personal legend. I can fell how painful that was when the thief stole his money.It will be difficult for people to reagin the courage for continuing a dream after bankrupt or any big trouble. But from the beginning, when the boy chose to be a shepherd Instead of being a priest, he was destined to be different. I was worried at first when I read that he chose to make enough to go back to be a shepherd again,the old king's words "Never stop dreaming,fellow the omens" "when you want something,all the universe conspires to help you achieve it"which are like powerful belief.Actually after the first setback, Santiago was getting stronger than before, Personal legend always lead him to the right path unconsciously. He cannot tell why he felt unhappy when he left the crystal shop and went back,but heart can tell him what he really want. People maybe also the same,if you get things you need, you must go for a better possibility,on the basis of you won't loss anything.That's the reason Santiago gave to himself to continue looking for treasure.
Afterwards,he went through many challenges,the girl,the war, and finally the refugees. The very good aspect of Santiago I think is he loves learn things from the sheep, from crystal, from the desert, from the Englishman ,camel driver ,the alchemist and everywhere.He learned that we have to gave up something important for our dreams;people need not to fear the unknown if they are capable of achieving what they need and want;and also the lesson "what good is money to you if you are going to die？Its not often that money can save someones life"that alchemist told him eventually saved his life.
In the end of the story,he found the treasure and smelt the scent of kiss in the wind.Everything start to make sense after he found himself.The treasure is just a goal, the most important treasure is those experiences that made him stronger and wisdom.Like it writes in the book——there is only one way to learn.Its through action.Everything you need to know you have learned through your journey.
There are many words just like chicken soup for the soul or very familiar principles, but the extraordinary journey of Santiago brings us the strongest power to trust our dream and believe things will come true.It made realize ourown problems,rethink ourselves.That is the magic of this book.
For me, I've been thinking of the past,the future,my family,my friends and people I love when I make a decision,which give me so much pressure.Meanwhile,I have a strong idea of what I want and realize it starts from a very small age,maybe in some way it can be called personal legend if I believe it. Spiritual perfection and material world are always in collided.Perhaps the best way to solve worries is to get your feet in the door,when we actually do it,only thing we need to do is find way to solve problems we will meet.Maybe this books won't change me a lot in my daily life,but it will turn into omens like the king's words always remind the boy which can lead me to a right path to my dream haha.

People in different age grades have different sense of life.I hope to read it again in the future cause I am sure I will learn more than this period!
