The 3rd stage is when he was the president, During Washington was president, there were one important things.The first one is the French Revolution.France help United States during the War of Independence. So Americans wanted to help France when it was in trouble. they also hoped that France could change its system through revolution, So after the French Revolution, People in the United States want to help France. This is not a good decision, Because helping France would offend Britain, And there will be another war between Britain and the United States, But United States can no longer support another war. In such a situation, only Washington and a very small number of people remain calm, Washington put the national interest first and chose not to help France, Such a decision has also brought him great harm,But he insisted on his decision.
