在前面的模块中，我们一起学习了话语标记和观点表达，不知你是否还有印象。在雅思第一、三部分被考官问道关于某个话题的观点、看法、态度时，可以使用表达观点的话语标记。当然潜在的前提是你对这个话题存在观点。事实上，并非针对每个问题我们都会有观点，这一点不管我们参加或没参加过雅思考试，可能都有切身的体会。比如朋友询问你对于某个八卦新闻的态度，你根本不感兴趣，当然也不会有可以明确讲出的观点。

缺乏观点

花1分钟时间思考下面的问题。

如果缺乏观点，在英语中如何表达呢？

如果还没想出答案，没有关系，你可以尝试回答下面的问题。

What do you think about the filling area conjecture, that a hemisphere has the minimum area among shortcut-free surfaces in Euclidean space whose boundary forms a closed curve of given length?

是不是没有什么观点？因为连题目都看不太懂？没关系，以上题目来自尚未解决的数学难题，连地球上最聪明的大脑都没有找到答案。那么，你是如何表达缺乏观点的呢？不知道你的答案是否与下面的样例类似。

I'm really sorry. That's a difficult question. I don't think I'm familiar with the topic.

回想你的答案和上面的样例，聪明的你一定会发现：

1. 样例表达了你对于问题中的话题缺乏观点和想法。
2. 样例对无法提供观点作出了必要的解释。
3. 样例同时表达了你对于无法给出满意答案的歉意。

再仔细阅读上面的样例，看你能否找出哪部分表达了你缺乏观点，哪部分给出了[解释]，哪部分表达了你的歉意。

你应该已经找到他们了，看是否是下面这样。

I'm really sorry. [That's a difficult question.] I don't think I'm familiar with the topic.

表达方式

花至少10分钟时间学习下面的表达方式。

• I'm afraid [I've never been interested in football.]
• I'm afraid [I'm not very keen on art].
• I'm afraid [I don't know much about philosophy].
• I'm sorry, but [I'm not familiar with that topic].
• I'm sorry, but [I'm completely unfamiliar with that topic].
• I haven't really thought about that, [maybe, because I didn't realize it was relevant].

好啦，看看你能不能把学到的表达方式应用到对下面问题的回答中。阅读并思考问题，大声说出答案。多说几次，使用不同的表达方式。

1. Do you think it's easier or harder to obtain information now than in the past?
2. What do you think about the quality of the information on the Internet?
3. How can people assess the quality of the information on the Internet?

现在你应该很有信心对某些无敌难的问题作出缺乏观点的表达了吧？那么花15分钟对以下问题给出你的简单答案吧。

1. Do you think it's important for us to protect the environment?
2. Do you think the school should teach students how to protect the environment?
3. Who else do you think is responsible for teaching children how to protect the environment?

关于学习

1. Why does it take a long time for people to master a skill?
2. Do you think people prefer to spend time learning a skill that's easy or challenging?
3. Do you think people are happy after mastering a skill?

关于代沟

1. Do you think young people and old people can have the same hobbies?
2. Do you think young people and old people in China have age gaps?
3. Do you think young people these days are more self-centered than in the past?
