It is always hard to ask their souls stay behind (version II)
Painting: Acrylic, Watercolour, Ink on canvas, Digital.
“Yukio Mishima once said: "Every human has only two possibilities: either to remain strong and upright, or to kill himself." Can I — if I may — interpret the second case as "giving in to the death"?
Our soul is always strong and upright, but most of us can't perceive it, let alone believe it. These thoughts and motivations served as the fertile breeding grounds for this artistic imagery to germinate and blossom.
We are bathed in a layer of complex inter-relationships in this phenomenal world and there clearly is a paradox. The goal is to see the oneness in duality. Unity in diversity. How then does these seemingly discrete, yet continuous, atomic, yet holistic, independent, yet interrelated aspects weave together and present us the everyday world with its diverse experiential content?
With each stroke, as I drew these patterns and curved shapes, I tried to elucidate the fact that reality is ever changing by constantly distorting itself while I tried to portray the difficulty of staying intact in an every changing and swaying phenomenal world.
