我们从一只小动物那里学到的人生哲学

Lolo was a cat that wasconvincedhe was a lion.

啰啰是一只小猫，是一只坚信自己是一头狮子的小猫。

He thought he was a lion since the day when he was born, and nothing in the world would make him change his mind.

Nothing.

从他生下来的那天（起），他就认为自己是头狮子，在世上没有什么可以改变他的想法。

没有

One day He went outside,

有一天，他嬉皮笑脸的出去溜达

with his smirky cheeky face.

Off he went with his royal lion face!

而没有带着像狮子一样高贵的面孔

But the neighbors’ angry dog wanted to have fun, by intimidating the tiny little cat.

但是邻居家的恶狗想恐吓这只小小猫来找点乐子。

The dog came barking loud and tried to give him a scare

恶狗朝他大叫，想吓他一下

But Lolo fought back with a lion’s strength inside

但是啰啰像狮子一样有力的回击

and later he came home, only missing a chunk!

然后回家了。仅仅是掉了一块肉。

When I asked him: “What happened?!”

当我问他怎么了，并在他的背上敷上药

and put potions on his back

他看着我，抬起头来说：

he looked at me chin up:

“All is cool, I am a Lion”

“很酷耶一切都很好，我是一头狮子了”

THEN...

后来

On a sunny fall day Lolo roamed all around...

在一个阳光灿烂的日子，啰啰到处漫步

looking for a spot where to take a nap.

想找个地方小睡一下

And nap he did…

他睡了

in the middle of the street!

睡在了马路中间

A huge truck came by but had to stop because of Lolo‘s nap

一个（辆）大卡车开过，但不得不停下来，因为啰啰睡在中间。

the driver yelled “Move out“, but nothing was heard back,

司机大叫道：走开。但没有任何回音。所以他大按着喇叭，可是啰啰依旧纹丝不动。

so he blew the loud horn hard

but Lolo did not move

and we all knew what he was thinking:

我们都知道他在想什么

“I’m a Lion you go around!”

“我是狮子，你们绕行”

So the truck had to move back, and then around

最终，卡车不得不退后，并绕开他，而啰啰依旧在享受着他甜美的午觉。

while Lolo continued with his sweet little nap…

Lolo never got the memo

啰啰从来不认为自己是一只小猫

that he was a tiny cat

In his soul he always knew

在他的思想里，他一直知道自己有多聪明，有多强大。

how bright and big he was

He defied dogs and big trucks

他打败了恶犬和卡车，随时随地，想睡就睡

and took naps, lots of naps

This story is dedicated to my Father who passed away this year, and who always taught me to believe I was beautiful inside and out, no matter what big truck came my way trying to derail me from my own beauty or what scary dog may try to convince me I was not fine or powerful just the way I am.

这个小故事是从（献给）我（的）父亲那里传下来的，他今年去世了。他教会我去相信自己有多美，不仅（论）是内在还是外在。无论是在有大卡车让我脱离自己美丽的轨道，还是有恶犬想让我去相信自己不好和无能力。走自己的路就好

It is also dedicated to Lolo who passed away in April of 2008.  Both stories above are real.

它也是被啰啰传下来的（故事也献给啰啰）。它2008年4月去世了。以上故事，全属事实。
