五步英文背诵法：

第一步：不看课文听录音5遍

第二步：不看翻译读原文，标出难点并解决

第二步：借助翻译精读课文

第四步：一次一句背课文

第五步：连句成段，最终达到全篇背诵。

说明：本文共两段，根据意群拆分为4个小段。但每个句子能够单独背诵之后，就以这4个小段为目标，连句成段。

Lesson 10—Not For Jazz

课文内容：

We have an old musical instrument. It is called a clavichord. It was made in Germany in 1681. 

我们有一件古老的乐器，叫击弦古钢琴。它是1681年德国制造的。

Our clavichord is kept in the living-room. It has belonged to our family for a long time. The instrument was bought by my grandfather many years ago. 

我们这架钢琴放在客厅里。我们家拥有它很长时间了，这件乐器是许多年前我祖父买来的。

Recently it was damaged by a visitor. She tried to play jazz on it! She struck the keys too hard and two of the strings were broken. My father was shocked. 

最近它被一位客人弄坏了，她用它弹奏爵士乐！她按键太猛，把两根弦按断了，我父亲为之震怒。

Now we are not allowed to touch it. It is being repaired by a friend of my father's.

现在他不允许我们再碰它。父亲的一位朋友正在修理这件古老的乐器。

重要提示：

1、一定不要忽视前面几个步骤，没有理解的背诵是无用功。

2、背诵时，从句子入手，背会一句才背下一句。

3、同时背了下一句，别忘了及时复习上一句，如此循环。

4、连句成段时，不要心急，慢慢来，搞清逻辑关系，搞清内容。
