In 2001, after Chinese new year, I have got a visit visa and been to New Zealand for three months.
By this chance, I decided to going to a language school to learn English from native speakers. As I have still had few hundred vocabularies and some basic grammar, by a test, I could join the preintermediate class. But just after a couple of days, the teacher found that I can understand nothing in the preintermediate level. Therefore, the school made a beginning class for me and other student who is older than me and come from shanghai. The teacher is a friendly young lady, after two weeks, she found that we still very hard to understand what she taught. I have remembered, one Friday afternoon after class, I went to the lift, while the doors closing, my teacher said something to me, I didn't understand. So that I down to the ground level then catch up with the lift went upstairs again to ask my teacher. She said she just greet me "good weekend". A couple of weeks late, I guess the teacher lost her patience for us. She talked us that she have read an article which research shows that people older thirty years are very very difficult to catch up a new language.
But I am not believe that. The achievement in this class is I opened my mouth to speak English . And I believe I can speak fluent English.

但我不相信。这个班的成绩是我开口说英语了。我相信我能说一口流利的英语。
