People like Hems are usually clever and conceited, and it is the cleverness that weakens diligence and effort, the conceit that leads to the wrong judgments of the situation. In the face of existing achievements, Hems’ self-satisfaction, vanity expansion often exaggerates their ability, and directly causes no further progresses. In thechanging times, such people are doomed to be a loser, even though they get somesmall achievements in a certain stage. When challenging changes come, they show a strong attitude, endless whining, and resistance to face failure, they are often the inhibitors that fights change in any organization.
If I continued to write this story, I would make Hem to go out of the Cheese Station C, because Hem’s survival crisis is just the hunger. When a person being alive is a problem, he will instinctively go to search for food. Compared to the complexity of the real life, the reason and result of Hem’s searching for new Cheese are set relatively simple. With Haw’s inspiration, especially under the pressure of starvation,eventually Hem would go out of the Cheese Station C.
But the reality is complex,many Hems in a stable environment may not be recognized accurately, they tend to show a certain degree of intelligence and ability. Only when they need to deal with major changes and move on to the new targets, you will discover that they are the stubborn resistance. So it is necessary to identify Hems in any organization,and must not allow them to appoint important posts, in case making the wrong decisions, missing the opportunity to change the future.
