How do you normally type in your input for your articles? You would say that you do this with your fingers on your phone or keyboard when you use your computer.
I do, too. But I also enjoy doing this by dictating with a software: Dragon Naturally Speaking. Of course, I do this when I think nobody else is around. Otherwise, I would look like a maniac who is talking to himself.
I like the dictation method. Not only because I can "write" faster, but also I don't have to worry about spelling. The software takes care of it. The command line that the software can accept also is a big help. I can work on my computer almost hands-free.
I have been writing my personal and work journals with this method every day for several years. It actually helped to correct my foreign accent.
For example, I noticed the pronunciation of the word "for" of my American friends as "fur". That's why I could tell that my Chinese colleagues (me included) sounded foreign when they pronounced the same word. I tried with the dictation software, there was no surprise that the software accepted "fur" for "for" better than my previous "for". Foreign accent reduction is very difficult without external help since you usually fail to see the difference by yourself.
There are other ways to dictate your input on your phone or computer. Apple iOS already included the feature with the iPhone or iPad. And MS Windows also has its own dictation function to name a few. So you don't have to pay for the software to practice input with your voice.
