Day 59:
Prosanta Chakrabarty: Four billion years of evolution in six minutes
- If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Well, because we're not monkeys, we're fish.
Why/What/How 论证观点
- Why we are fish? why it matters? etc.
- We are also not the goal of evolution. The first animal to develop a backbone are fishes. They are all the product of that.. etc.
-...so you see, we didn't evolve from monkeys, but we do share a common ancestor with them.
这篇演讲的目的是传递信息:进化论中‘where we came from'研究的不同视角—We are fish.
- If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Well, because we're not monkeys, we're fish.
- ...but life doesn't evolve in a line..
We're fish'
-... so technically, you and I are fish
- Perhaps it's better still to think of us as a little fish out of water.
- ... that still has a lot of learning to do about who we are and where we came from.
