Shoes off—Ordos

It is always overwhelming to visit new places, to discover new things, to memorize fabulous memories  and to feel the local culture. Especially , doing these and sharing these with one’s family is really really really incredible.

The very first day I took off my shoes and ran and jumped in the desert. That was amazing, cause it’s been years that I wanted to visit both the one and only Ordos and the desert. I just took off my shoes and jumped into the desert right away, no shame. Every time when I want to lose myself, I mean go crazy, it reminds me of Andrew’s saying: “ This is what I am, no shame.”  For me, the best way to feel or to understand one culture is to lose yourself in that culture, that is to say, imagining yourself as a part of that culture. Only in this way can you feel the real lifestyle of the people and the places.

I’m an introvert person, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to go through new things or to build new relationships. In addition, communicating skill is a beautiful art and also an important lesson in one’s whole life.

In order to know American culture well, I was reaching out  to Americans without hesitation. I visited their houses, had meals with them and moreover, I invited them to my hometown and lived together with them. That was awesome, I mean the happiness at that time, words cannot express. Can’t wait to see the next morning’s sun every single night and the brand new English conversations waiting for us ahead.

I really love this beautiful and peaceful place. However, I don’t like some mean people that I met here. But what can I say, this is the color of this world, full of ups and downs and goods and bads. I’m just tryna enjoy and memories them deep down in my mind, because it is happening all the time.
