The UK has ditched/scrapped a contact tracing app, whch was designed and expected to be capable of sending alerts to close contacts of Covid-19.
How does this app work? It keeps a record of people that the user came into close contact. Once a close contact being tested positive, the user would get alerts.
Pitifully, the app sent no more than a regular "stay alert" warning. And, it failed to detect contacts with iPhones.
