Zigfried left, and Odile went inside the castle.
齐格弗里德离开了，奥迪尔走进城堡。
Odet, the wizard's evil daughter, was behind a tree.
巫师邪恶的女儿，奥德特，在一棵树后面。
When she saw Odile talking to the Prince, she was jealous; she wanted to go to the ball, and what was more, she wanted to marry the Prince.
当她看到奥迪尔和王子说话时，她很嫉妒；她想去参加舞会，更重要的是，她想嫁给王子。
She didn't like Odile, because she was so beautiful and kind.
她不喜欢奥迪尔，因为奥迪尔是如此美丽和善良。
But the wizard loved her, so Odet couldn't do anything to hurt her ... until now!
但是巫师喜欢她，因此奥德特不能做任何伤害她的事……直到现在！
Odet went to the wizard's room, but he was not there.
奥德特去了巫师的房间，但他不在那儿。
The room looked like a museum.
房间看起来像一个博物馆。
There was an Egyptian statue against one wall, and large aquariums full of strange fish.

On a table stood many different coloured bottles.
桌子上放着许多不同颜色的瓶子。
Odet opened one of the bottles.
奥德特打开了其中一个瓶子。
Smoke came out of it.
烟雾从中冒出来。
It smelled of burning wood.
闻起来有烧焦的木头的气味。
The magic owl flew into the open window, unseen by Odet, and changed back into the wizard.
会魔法的猫头鹰飞进了敞开的窗户，奥德特没看见，又变回了巫师。
"Do you like the smell?"
“你喜欢这个味道？”
"Oh, Father! You scared me."
“噢，父亲！你吓着我了。”
"You wouldn't be afraid if you were not in my room when I wasn't here."
“我不在的时候，如果你不在我的房间里，你就不会吓到了。”
"I know father, but I have something very important to tell you. It's about Odile."
“我知道，父亲，但我要告诉你一些非常重要的事。是关于奥迪尔的。”
The wizard opened his eyes wide.

He was a tall man, with a long, white beard and long, white hair.
他是个高个子男人，留着长长的白胡子和长长的白发。
He wore a big black hat and a long black robe with stars on it.
他戴着一顶黑色的大帽子，穿着一件上面有星星的黑色长袍。
"Tell me what you know!"
“告诉我你知道什么！”
"First, you must promise to do something for me."

"What is it?"

"I can't tell you now. First, I must tell you about Odile, then I will ask for something. Will you do it?"

"Tell me, before I turn you into a frog!"

The wizard was very much in love with Odile.
巫师非常爱奥迪尔。
He would change his daughter into a frog because he wanted to know about Odile.
他会把他的女儿变成青蛙，因为他想知道奥迪尔的事。
