白五山塔简介
白玉山塔，原名“表起塔”
日我战争（1904-1905）结束后，由日本海军联舰司令东三
八即和陆军弟三军司令乃木希典提议选址白玉山修建“表忠
塔”
。玩塔始建于1907年6月，历时两年贸五个月于1909年11月建成。据戰，当时被迫服劳设修建此塔的中国工匠和民工两>至 。
白王山塔高66.8米，共有273级会阶、18个窗口，塔顶北侧的铜刻铭文系东三平八郎和万木希典联合撰写，铅文记载子旅顺雵塞爭夺战的笥契过程。塔內铁质螺旋楼梯由美国制造，塔基花岗岩后料取自日军用来闭塞港口航道的沉船，基桂和塔身
石料大都人日本国內运来。1945年，“表忠塔〞三个字被苏军铲除。后改为白玉塔。
1986年4月16日，塔被正式定名为白玉山塔。

Baiyushan Mountain Tower was called "Loyalty Tower"originally.
After termination of Russ0-Japanese War (1904-1905), Togo Hirataro, Commander of the Japanese Combined Fleet, and Marenori Nogi, Commander of 3rd Corps, selected Baiyushan and Mountain to build "Loyalty Tower" It took two years and five months to build this tower from June 1907 to November 1909.It is recorded that "over twenty thousand workers and labors" from China had been forced to build this tower.
Baiyushan Mountain Tower is 66.8 meters high, with 273 steps and 18 windows. The Inscription carved in copper on the north tip of the tower was written by Togo Hirataro and Marenori Nog] record the process of occupying fortress in Lvshun in brief. Inside the tower, the iron cackle stairs was ordered in USA, the granites of tower base were salvaged from those Japanese sunken ships intended to wall up sea-route of Lvshun Harbor, the stone materials of the pillar and tower body were almost from Japan. In 1945, the characters of Loyalty Tower"were scraped off by the Soviet Army and renamed the tower"Baiyu Tower".
In 1986, the tower was formally named "Baiyushan Mountain Tower".
