You should understand the:
- Importance of excellent scientific writing for publication of your manuscript.
- What the reader expects from you as an author and a writer.
- What the journal expect from you
- That CLEAR, LOGICAL, ENJOYABLE writing is the best type of writing.
- CLARITY明晰 in your writing should be your number one priority.
1. Remember that sentences are the building blocks of your manuscript!
- Don't waste your sentences ( By using "empty words"/Repetition/adverbs like 'very' or 'really')
- Use VERBS as much as you can (don't use nouns). Verbs make our writing EXCITING, DIRECT and CLEAR!.
- Use the ACTIVE VOICE not the passive voice.
- Don't use Negatives in your sentence, like no, don't, impossible (it makes your meaning confusing).
- Parallelism is a good technique if you want your writing to be easy to understand and sound nice.
- Try to use different types of punctuation (Its OK!). Use :,;,(), -.
Make sure your paragraphs are clear by:
- One idea per paragraph
- Use the sentence rules
- Ideas flow logically
- Choose the correct sentence subjects according to the paragraph topic
- Introduce new information correctly by first writing the old information.
