《西风拂过》2017
作为改革开放以后中国最早的一批油画毕业生，85新潮的主要发起人，徐进是中国最早探索当代艺术的艺术家之一。80年代末他选择到纽约定居，潜心作画多年，几乎淡出公众视线。直到近年来在中美两地举行的多次个展受到艺术界的极大关注。这些作品从各个方面展现了他成熟的画面，其作品既有东方情怀与审美的暗示，又具有更为广博的西方新表现主义的特质，形成一种独特混合的个人绘画语言，特别是色彩的多种运用让人惊叹。

但是徐进并不是一个满足于表象唯美的艺术家，更不刻意追逐媚俗的形式与主题。他从八五新潮开始就有大量作品直接表现对诸多社会重大问题的严肃思索，而他在纽约911以后的灾难系列作品更为一个新的起点。但是此类作品很少公开展出过。“在梦中呼吸” 集中了一批他近年来围绕环境，人类生存，生死等严肃主题而创作的绘画作品，让我们窥见那些绚丽色彩下的沉重思考。尽管很多画面主题是关于环境污染，死亡或是流离失所，但是他却出其不意地以一种超现实的梦幻一般的场景来表达，更让观者有一种直刺心底的楚痛。即使是在现实的场景里，仍然赋予了不确定不真实的美感，充满他对现实的非现实主义的期许。这些作品向公众提出一个思考：我们应该怎样善待我们所处的世界，人类能否与自然达到和谐的共存。
徐进淡于社会，但是从未远离过社会，相反他对世界一直保持着敏锐的观察力，更选择了以艺术的方式来表达对社会的关注度，这正是一个有良知的艺术家的最好解读。

“Breath in Dreams” Solo Art Exhibition of Xu Jin
“Breath in Dreams” is a solo exhibition by New York-based Chinese artist Xu Jin concerning humankind’s relationship with nature. Graduating from one of the most prestigious art schools in China, Xu Jin showed remarkable talent in his exploration of contemporary art during the early 80’s. After living in New York City for over 20 years, he has fully absorbed the spirit of contemporary art, fully maturing as a great artist, inspired by what New York City has offered him over the years. At the same time, his concern over natural disasters has grown tremendously. He realized human activity is a prominent cause of suffering. He began creating art pieces directly reflecting those concepts, showing how we can co-exist with nature. In his work, you see pollution, war, and hunger, but the scenes are surreal and dreamlike, yet strangely painful. Penetrating beyond gorgeous colors on the surface, he shows the profound thought that, as decent human beings, we are responsible for the world we live in, and nobody should watch this beautiful planet rot. The exhibition serves as a visual awakening to the public about environmental concerns.
The exhibition contains about 20 pieces of art works date from 2001 to today.

1985年 始任教于中国美院油画80年代“希望的原野”获六届全国美展优秀作品“祖国.荣誉”获前进中的中国青年美展优秀作品奖 “阴阳”参加中国现代艺术展，并在此期间发起“85新潮”重要团体——浙江“85新空间”活动，与张培力、耿建翌等为主要召集人
1986年 随国际著名壁挂艺术家万曼·瓦尔班诺夫筹建了万曼艺术壁挂研究所,历任油画系讲师，万曼艺术壁挂研究所万曼助理
1987年 法国艺术对话协会授予徐进“1987年法国艺术对话奖”，以表彰其对艺术交流和创作的贡献
1989年 应芝加哥湖畔工作室之邀赴美举办展览与创作活动，其后定居纽约

真名张兰，本科毕业于苏州丝绸工学院服装设计专业，在美获密苏里大学电子媒体设计硕士学位。此后在美多家财富100大公司从事多年网页设计和界面设计。纽约蓝蓝为新浪著名博客，文章散见于海内外多家主要中文媒体。北美中文作家协会会员, 纽约华文女作家协会会员。
策划多次画展和艺术活动，包括２０１８年在法拉盛举行的“灰色地带”当代水墨四人展，2017年11月在曼哈顿上东区The Grady Alexis Gallery的“破茧”群展，7月在曼哈顿456画廊的“破晓”七人展及2月在新泽西河边画廊的“多面”当代艺术展。2017年还与纽约西村餐馆CAMAR合作策划“靠近现实”系列艺术活动， 包括了6个小型个展。更早还策划过2008年纽约四川地震募捐画展和2010年第一届OFCC慈善募捐画展。近年来撰写多篇关于中国当代艺术家的艺术评论。2016作为特邀嘉宾参与了纽约白盒子画廊举办的沈敬东作品讨论会。

About Lan Zhang:
Zhang, Lan got her BA Degree of fashion design in Suzhou Silk Engineering Institute, China, then Master’s Degree in electronic media design from University of Missouri, USA. Since then she has worked for many fortune 100 companies as UI/UX designer.
Lan also known as 纽约蓝蓝, is a well-known blogger at Sina. Her articles were published in a number of major Chinese media both inChina and USA. She also is member of American Chinese Writer Association.
She has curated numerous art exhibitions and art events, including ：“Grey Zone” Chinese Contemporary Ink Art Exhibition at Flushing Town Hall New York 2018; “Breaking the Cocoon” group exhibition at Grady Alexis Gallery New York 2017; “Dawn”exhibition of 7 artistes at 456 Gallery in New York 2017. “Close to Reality”art events in New York 2017, “Multi-faceted” New York Contemporary Art Exhibition at Riverside gallery 2017, the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake Fundraising Exhibition in China Square gallery and the first OFCC Charity Fundraising Exhibition in New York in 2010. She also wrote many art critic about some important contemporary Chinese artists in recent years. She was the guest speaker at “Artist Talk” regarding Sheng Jingdong's art work holding by White Box gallery in New York 2016.
