《The Phantom of The Opera》Reader Response
I read a novel named The Phantom of the opera.
It told about the story of a phantom. It happened in the opera in Paris. In this opera there was Box 5 only for the phantom. The phantom paid 2000 francs a month.But the manager of the opera had to do sth. as the phantom said .
One day the opera employed two new directors. The did not do sth. as the phantom. They let a new singer to play ,not the singer the phantom said.
The phantom was very angry. That night, the famous chandelier broke away from its ropes and crashed down to the people below.
Now the two directors knew what they did. The new singer was very sadly . She had no chance to sing. The new singer was controlled by the phantom. The phantom wanted her to be his wife. So he did not let her to sing again. Another boy he also loves the girl. They met each other secretly .But at last the phantom has found the boy. He wanted to kill the boy. Then he let the boy into his place. The boy wanted to save the girl.
At last the phantom asked the girl "do you want to marry me". The girl said "Yes". Then the girl kissed the phantom freely. The phantom felt happy. Then he let the girl free.
The girl married her boyfriend . The phantom never appeared again.
