There was barely time to summarize the past week, and a new week has begun! Time is just flying.
It is going to be a busy week. Today there is routine work and a rehearsal at school. The actual meeting will take place on Wednesday. It means there is quite a lot of preparation to do for my own presentation:
1. time management. Now the script needs to be cut to fit in 5 minutes' limit.
2. speech presentation skills. Watch relevant speeches online. practice my own.
I found something interesting about myself. I postpone the things I do not feel like doing even though they must be done, and I panic before the deadline. This cycle continues even though I know if something must be done, I need to do it quickly. Why do I postpone? I just do not feel like start doing it. For example, I do not want to check students' homework online, so it is painful for me to just think about this experience, and a single clicking on the website for homework takes a lot of courage.
So I purposefully want to stop this vicious cycle and forced myself to face directly the tasks in front of me. It did not feel so bad and I was able to quite efficiently get them done. A lesson learned from this experience is that stop imagining and self-pity. If it needs to be done, just do it right now. To start is one hundred times better than to think and postpone.
Last week, Kang started his table time and was able to scribble some shapes in paper with his left hand. Mao read several stories by himself. We spent two mornings in the sun, it was quite enjoyable.
