Rainbow

   At a moment I glimpsed a rainbow,

   As I opened the window and raised my eyes toward the sky.

   An arch in soft shades of crimson, light yellow, tender green and watery purple.

   An arch across the sky turning vivid

   Taking a glimpse at me

   Oh, Iris, do you come and take a look at me?

   For a peaceful moment, enjoy heavenly peace and beauty, amid children's innocent laughters downstairs.

   Iris, the messenger of Sun, would you bring resplendence to my eyes, to amaze me for a moment?

   Would you enrich splendor in my mind, to cheer me up at intervals, to relieve me of all earthly frets, and inspire momentary ideas?

    For a moment, clear of past vexations or desired intentions for the future. Enjoy the splendor of presence and feast my eyes on the colorful sight. Count the colors like an innocent child, and imprint all the colors in the picturesque mind.

   Masses of clouds, in large loose puffs, clustered or scattered all around, moist and drifting in the rainy wind. Soft mauve rays glittered from the arch, infusing in the floss of thick cloud.

   As the rainbow started to fade slightly, more gray, moist of clouds drifted in anther patch of sky. In the remote sky, white clouds curled in soft turrets.

   I would always see the rainbow, in eternity in my mind's eye, while the girl's voice insisted on seeing the rainbow even her companions called out the rainbow faded.
