Paul's Trip Plan 1 保罗的旅行计划 1

In six weeks, Paul is going on a trip. 六周后，保罗要去旅行。

He is going to Japan and China. 他要去日本和中国。

There are a (couple) of (reasons) for the (trip). 这次旅行有几个原因。

One reason is for business. 原因之一是生意。

He’s thinking about starting restaurants in both countries. 他正在考虑在这两个国家开餐馆。

The other reason is for pleasure. 另一个原因是消遣。

He enjoys traveling, and he’d like to visit some friends. 他喜欢旅行并且他想要去拜访一些朋友。

Yesterday he went online and made airline reservations. 昨天他上网预订了机票。

There were plenty of seats on the plane, so it was easy. 飞机上有大量座位，所以很容易。 

He also got a good discount. 他也得到了很好的折扣。

Unfortunately, he needs a new passport. 不幸的是，他需要一本新护照。

His old passport is expiring next week. 他的旧护照下周就要到期了。

This is something he didn’t expect.(R) 这些事情是他没有预料到的。

Getting a new passport (will) (take) at (least) a week. 获得新护照至少需要一个星期。

He needs to apply for one right away. 他需要马上申请一个。

Paul also needs a visa to enter China. 保罗还需要签证才能进入中国。

Getting a visa may also take a week or even two. 获得签证可能需要一到两周的时间

So he doesn’t have much time. 所以他没有太多的时间。

He needs to hurry. 他需要快点。

He can’t get the visa until he gets his new passport. 他只有拿到新护照才能拿到签证。

He'll have to go to the Chineseconsulatein Toronto. 他得去中国驻多伦多领事馆。

Hopefully (there) won’t be (any) (delays).(R) 希望不会有任何延误。
