【单词便利贴-2】我的一部分也随科比一同逝去

​日前，乔丹在科比和Gigi追思会上发表演讲，感人至深，

"When Kobe Bryant died, a piece of me died."

“我的一部分也随科比一同逝去。”

其中也有两句话很有意思，我们一起来看一下，

                                           "tank"

"Kobe left nothing in the tank."

(1) “（价格）暴跌”，"Plummeting, as of prices. "，举个例子：

Housing prices around here are in the tank right now, so I doubt we'll get the price that we want if we sell.

这附近的房价目前处于低迷状态，因此我怀疑如果出售的话，是否会获得我们想要的价格。

(2) “储存，可用”，"in reserve"，举个例子：

If you don't eat well before the game, you won't have enough energy in the tank to play well.

如果您在赛前吃得不好，那么您将没有足够的能量去比赛。

(3) “赞成（人或事）”，"Very much in favor of someone or something. "，举个例子：

I'm not in the tank for anyone, I swear—I'm completely neutral!

我发誓，我不支持任何人，我是完全中立的！

所以在这句话中"tank" 显然取第二个意思，这句话就可以理解成“科比毫无保留。”

                                        "floor"

"He left it all on the floor."

大家都知道，"floor" 是“地板”的意思，但是在篮球用语中"floor" 其实相当于"court"，指的是“球场”，举个例子：

The forwards made only six shots from the floor.

球场上前锋只得了6分。

这句话就是“他把一切留给了球场。”
