July is drawing to a close and August is upon us. At the junction of saying goodbye to the old and welcoming the new, I would like to reflect on some undesirable aspects of my past month and suggest some changes for the new month.
Overall, the first half of a lunar cycle finds me in an uplifting, energetic and focused state where I can get things done more efficiently. In contrast, the second half is primarily wasted in pettiness, emotional turmoil and behavioural decadence. So in August, I will try to be consistent throughout the month and not do something irrational and stupid 10 days before the period. Instead of randomly going with the flow, I need to resume my daily planner, stay on track, and try not to veer off course. The following behaviours are to be practised:
1. Get up and set up the cookers;
2. Keep a daily planner;
3. Measure body weight every Monday morning;
4. Get to work immediately;
5. After-meal time is the best time for chores;
6. Stick to a one-hour physical exercise (including skipping ropes) routine in the evening;
7. Meditate for 30 minutes a day;
8. Put away the phone while working;
9. Focus on meaningful and important things;
10. Sleep early whenever feeling tired;
11. Read something enlightening, even reading aloud;
12. Make sure to eat healthy food and eat at home as often as possible;
13. Express love and gratitude every day and avoid saying hurtful words to those around me;
14. Take action instead of thinking too much;
15. Prepare for and fulfill the lecture mission in Suzhou;
16. Try to finish the lecture recording with Chaoxing.
17. Face the music courageously. There is nothing to fear except fear itself.
18. Don’t forget soaking feet in warm water and take the pills every day.
Wish me a fulfilling and highly effective August.
Plus, this lunar month is viciously dangerous; therefore, avoid public places and return home earlier at night. Spray some water wherever I go outside. Don't forget to do good to others!
