This is day set to commemorate Jame Joyce, one of the greatest giants in Irish literature, and his most celebrated work Ulysses, hailed as one of the greatest literary works of the 20th Century. The protagonist of the book is an Irish named Leopold Bloom, and the story is about the day, 16th June 1904, he spent in the city of Dublin. That's why people make it the 'Bloom's Day'
On the day, people dress up in the style thrown back to the turn of the century with a copy of Ulysses in hand, sauntering down the route Leopold used to take, embracing the unparalleled literary feast with all the rest of the zealous Dubliners. How wonderful!
