CISD2 was shown to be elevated in human epithelial breast cancer cells and to reduce cell proliferation and tumor growth signifcantly [8]. Recently, Luxin Liu et al. reported CISD2 expression as a novel marker correlating with pelvic lymph node metastasis and prognosis in patients with early-stage cervical cancer [9]. However, the role of CISD2 in gastric cancer is still unknown [3].
