indicative 的最常见用法是 A is indicative of B，表示 A 反映了 B 的状态。比如因为没有兴趣，所以没有行动就可以说成：
Their failure to act is indicative of their lack of interest.
我们常说“左眼跳财”，用英文可以说成：
An old Chinese saying goes: the twitching of the left eyelid is indicative of the coming of good fortune.
我们还常说“相由心生”，也就是说一个人的外表往往可以反映出他的内心感受，因此可以说成：

《经济学人》中也经常用到 indicative，比如：
