Personal Review

Writing is a powerful tool to relate to strangers. Man is by nature a social animal, hence the need for networking. The moral of Justin's case is that good writing enhances social relations.

Why write? I often ask myself this question. To be honest, writing is effective. The end justifies the means. Any result-oriented person determined to succeed cannot afford to overlook the prowess of words. I am no exception. 

The pragmatism, however, reveals only one side of the picture. The other side of it is quite the opposite. I think Nelson Mandela's maxim has shed light on it. Instead of persuading others to believe in good faith, writing reaches out to others and warm their hearts. In other words, we write well with honesty and empathy.

It is pursuing persuasion, sense and sensibility that puts us on track to becoming an excellent writer. (I assume Jane Austen cannot agree with me more about that.)
