some notes from Positive Psychology
Our mind is like a container. Most of education today is about information. Information is abouttaking data and putting in inside the container. When the container is filled, that is when we graduate. It is not enough. It not just the information thatdetermines our well-being. It is much more than information. Transformation is about changing the container’s form. Imagine that you come No. eight while you expect to get into the top three (to be a medalist) in an contest. What really matters is how you interpret this information. You may feel frustrated by thinking that it isterrible. Or, you may interpret it that “what I have learned from it? I need to workeven harder.” You learn from the experience.
The interpretation, the perception, thefocus determines the shape of the container. The shape of the container ( our state of mind) determines how we fell and how we perceive the world. Therefore, Happiness is much contingent on our state of mind than our status or our bank account.
