也会有朋友问我，我没学过画画啊，去了美术馆看不懂怎么办？

清华大学的特展
这是我近来非常喜欢看的一个展。在北京的朋友去看，也都很方便。
睡莲 莫奈
其中我最喜欢的，还是莫奈的睡莲。几年间不断在清华看到展出的作品中，有莫奈的睡莲，真的是一大幸事。那么莫奈的作品到底有什么特征呢？其作品所代表的时代和艺术风格，又是如何呢？
克劳德·莫奈（Claude Monet，1840年11月14日－1926年12月5日），法国画家，被誉为“印象派领导者”，是印象派代表人物和创始人之一。
印象派，也是我们可以在托福当中学习到的一个学科名词。
TPO1的Lecture4当中讲到一个现代画家，她的作品风格，有着非常特别的特点，她自己称之为Realistic Impressionism。在这里，有的同学可能就会困惑，我们很熟悉的词，在学科当中，有了它专属的含义。
其中，文本当中这么介绍Impressionism。
Student: Well, Impressionism started in the late 19th century. Um…the basic impressionist style was very different from earlier styles. It didn’t depict scenes or models exactly as they looked. Um… Impressionist painters tended to apply paint really thickly, and in big brushstrokes, so the texture of the canvas was rough.
Professor: Good. What else? What were the subjects?
Student: Well, a lot of impressionist artists painted everyday scenes, like people on the streets and in cafes, lots of nature scenes, especially landscapes.
咱们前面文章说过，如果文章出现学科名词，不慌，我们可以去听教授如何介绍这个名词。那么在这里，学生的回答，也就是对印象派作品的基本介绍，我们看到，正如莫奈这幅睡莲当中，画笔的笔触都比较厚重，我们不会像看照片一样看到非常清晰的睡莲的样态。
在这一篇听力，介绍完印象主义的基本特征，我们就可以继续收听到，这位年轻的现代画家，如何去画印象派风格的作品。
Professor: Good. So when you go to the exhibit, I really want you to take a close look at a certain painting. It’s a farm scene. And you will see it right as you enter the gallery. The reason I think this painting is so important is that it stresses the impressionist aspect of Frantzen’s style. It’s an outdoor scene, an everyday scene. It’s kind of bleak, which you can really see those broad brushstrokes and the blurry lines.
The colors aren’t quite realistic. The sky is kind of, well, an unnatural… pinkish yellow. And the fence in the foreground is blue, but somehow the overall scene gives an impression of a cold, bleak, winter day on a farm. So that’s the impressionist side of her work.
教授介绍了一幅作品，其最重要的特征就是，表现了印象主义的画法。无论是从颜色还是笔触上，和上面篇幅中介绍的特点，基本是一致的。那么相对于学科信息介绍，我们的考点就落在了对这幅作品的考察上。
因为托福不考绝对细节，我们不会在考题里看到，让你作答这幅画的细节特征，而从整体论述上提问，为什么会提到这样的一幅画作。遵循托福阶段最常用的论述手段，先论点，后论据，这里画作的描述，就是为了完成对印象派这个作品的举例。
