Q: Tell me about Ally.
A:Ally is the first communication-centric decentralized application (dAPP) powered by the Skrumble Network (SKM) public blockchain. Currently centralized in Beta, Ally is a first of its kind, multi-purpose social media application that empowers users to communicate freely, anonymously, and securely. Unlike many other dApps that rely on the Ethereum blockchain, Ally is built on the POA (proof-of-authority) Skrumble Network public chain with global patented blockchain technology, making it uniquely optimized for communication transactions and community data ownership.

Q: Where does the name Ally come from?
A: Ally means a person associated with another or others for a common cause or purpose. We chose this name to represent the unity in our global community who are fighting back against social media titans that are controlling their freedom of communication and data ownership. Especially with the recent WeChat ban of crypto-related news accounts and Telegram bans in multiple countries, people must stand together as allies to build a future of democratized communication and transactions.

Q: What is your vision for Ally?
A:We created Ally with the vision of empowering people around the world with a better way to contact and contract. We want to disperse the power of Ally into the hands of users who want an alternative to social media giants who have long been taking advantage of their data. Through leveraging our patented blockchain technology and a network of decentralized, community-owned servers, Ally will be a safe and private place for everyone to communicate, without having to worry about malicious third parties.

Q: What are your short-term and long-term plans for Ally?
A:Our immediate milestone is to bring the decentralized version of Ally in Beta live on the TestNet this Fall. We also expect Ally to be released on the MainNet early 2019. The long-term goal for Ally is to realize mainstream adoption through aggressive user acquisition to become the #1 dApp in the world.

Q: What are the main differences between Ally and other social media applications like Telegram and WeChat?
A:At a technical level, Ally will be on the blockchain where data is stored in decentralized, community owned servers. This means that incidents like the WeChat crypto news account bans will not happen, and user accounts and data will have no linkage with external third parties. Each user will receive a unique key to achieve complete anonymity. As for the in-app experience, Ally is going to offer a robust set of features in addition to functions already offered by similar social media apps. Users will also have the added bonus of unlocking special rewards.

Q: What are the killer features of Ally that sets it apart?
A: In addition to the existing functions like private, public and broadcast chats, disappearing messages, group video calls, in-app wallets and live media streaming, we will be rolling out new, unique features including in-chat crypto transfers and premium blockchain storage, with the opportunity to earn exciting rewards. There are also specific functions for influencers. For example, they can create their own channels to gain access to a global audience, promote ideas and monetize content. What we believe will ultimately make Ally standout in the crowd is the ability for users around the globe to easily access this dApp for practical daily interactions, all with the advantage of being on a trusted, anonymous and secure channel.

Q: Can you describe Ally’s target market?
A: Our target audience is essentially people who truly care about having a secure blockchain communication and transaction tool. The general sentiment we find in this group of people is that they are fed up with issues like data privacy, censorship, and firewalls that are preventing them from having a safe, worry-free place to communicate. In that sense, Ally will generate strong demand in markets where policies or regulations are in place to make it difficult for people to freely communicate.

A:We believe that once people start using Ally, they will experience the benefits first-hand and recommend it to their friends. To begin this process, we now offer new users 50 SKM as reward for downloading Ally, and an additional 20 SKM each time they refer a friend. In the next few months, we will also introduce new reward programs to attract and retain users.

Sticker Packages: Artists can directly upload stickers into the sticker market, and users can add them to their sticker collections using SKMs. Users can also donate to artists through no fee direct transfers. (launching October)
