日本主要银行之一的瑞穗银行（Mizuho Bank）计划在今年3月之前推出自己的加密货币。该数字货币将与日元挂钩，因此属于稳定币类的加密货币。一个单位的稳定币的价值将定为1日元。

One of Japan’s ‘Megabank’, Mizuho Bank, has plans of launching its own cryptocurrency by March of this year. The digital asset will be pegged to the Japanese Yen thus joining the stablecoin category of cryptocurrencies. The value of one unit of the stablecoin will be fixed at 1 Yen.

Blockchain Travel Service to Offer Hotels 20 Percent Cheaper Than on Booking.com or AirBnb
The Europe-based company LockTrip wants to put the accommodation industry on the blockchain by creating “the first functional blockchain-based travel service.” The team says it already offers 100,000 hotels and more than 1,500 vacation rentals all over the world, with an average discount of almost 20 percent when compared to other booking sites — and with plans to add an additional 300,000 hotels and 900 airlines to its marketplace by end of January 2019.

NZ’s Former PM John Key involved in a cryptocurrency scam
John Key, former New Zealand Prime Minister, is the latest in a line of notable individuals involved, albeit unknowingly, in a cryptocurrency scam. Bitcoin fraudsters are using the image of John Key promoting a Bitcoin scam. According to a report in Stuff.co.nz, the ad was designed for a company known as Crypto Revolt.So far, the scammers are using images of popular TVNZ presenter Hayley Holt and New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Arden to defraud unsuspecting investors.

More Japanese Crypto Exchanges to Self-Regulate
Five cryptocurrency exchange operators including Coincheck have signed up to self-regulate under Japanese law. They have joined the self-regulatory association which, until now, has only accepted regulated crypto exchanges as members. According to Japan’s top regulator, companies seeking to register their exchanges in the country must follow to self-regulatory rules.
