Deadly posts

It was  Dec.25 ,John Wheeler came back home very  late  at  that night ,for he  worked his  whole  day  in  dealing with secret posts from President Reagan and   President Bush  about   defense technology .

“John ,would you please to stay with me for a holiday in New York to relax.You know ,since you have worked in your Defense Technology Firm,we have lost a long time to stay together to relax.Besides,i feel lonely.” Katherine Klyce said .

“Sweety, i am sorry . But i really have something need to be done tomorrow.So i can not go with you tomorrow .How about ask Jane to go with you ? I promise i will make up for it after my work.”

Katherine was mad at Wheeler.But  she knew it won t  make any sense to request John to stop his work temporarily.

On Dec.26,John Wheeler apparently boarded an Amtrak train from New York to Washington .Because he had held numerous  posts there.And he was going to send those posts to his boss .

At the same time, Katherine was in her wonderful holiday with  his family lawyer Colm Connolly.Due to Wheeler”s work is so busy ,Katherine felt too lonely .At this time, she fell in love with her family lawyer .They went to Madrid together and enjoyed a happy holiday.Whereas,she didn”t know that Colm Connolly is an spy.The reason why he approach her was to get those secret posts from her  husband.

Two days later,on Dec.28,he got a phone from his wife ,but the one who talked with him was not  his wife ,it was a man”s voice .The man asked him to give the posts he held to him as  soon as possible .otherwise,he would kill Katherine.After the phone call,John considered much.finally,he decided to take some bogus posts to make his wife back.  He hopped back on the train to Wilmington,Del.,a  20-minute drive from the family”s home in nearby New  Castle .At that night ,John took a cab to his house in New Castle ,and took the bogus posts with him as  what Connolly had requested.However ,things did”t

went  good enough as he predicted.Connolly was an professional spy ,and he knew those posts much more than John had imagined .Which resulted in a terrible end. John could not get Connolly back.what”s more ,he got a warn from Connolly,a smoke bomb was sent to the half-built house across the street from Wheeler”s house .Meanwhile, he asked John to go back the Amtrak station to wait for a taxi in the next morning.At that time ,he was able to see his wife.John have no choice but to take his car and his brief case to the Amtrak station.

The next morning ,Dec.29,a cabbie picked John up at the Amtrak station in Wilmington and dropped him off  about 12 blocks north.Then ,John got a phone call from Connolly,he asked John to connect with his personal secretary Lily to bring those  posts to him.Then he would let him see Katherine.John have no choice but call Lily to bring the posts to him .

About 2 pm ,Lily arrived.John got the posts,and gave a piece of small paper to Lily secretly . Which asked his boss to give him a hand.And then ,he took his car and those posts to the Amtrak station three blocks away. Sooner,he arrived. Connolly was already there waiting for him .Wheeler took the brief case which held those important posts on his hand.It”s a big shock for him to know the one who kidnapped his wife

was his family lawyer.

“Where is  my wife ? I want to see her.”

“Don”t  worry, she is very safe .Once we have made sure the posts you give us are real,we will let you see her .”

“It”s so contemptible of you to do this .You have promised that i can see my wife now.How could i believe my wife is still safe?”

“I can let you talk with her .”Connolly answered.

Then Connolly made a phone call ,after a while,he handed his mobile phone to John.

“Is that Katherine ?”

“Yes ,it is .Where are you? I want to tell you that i am in a strange place.There are several men around me .I was kidnapped by them .What happened to you？What did you do to make me in dander. Since you have worked for the firm ,there is plenty of troubles between us ,I feel very tired ,and life is unhappy. And now ,I feel so scared .”Katherine was filled with angry and afraid .

“Dear, please do not be angry and afraid now .You will be safe soon .Don”t worry. At the moment,I am trying to save you .”

“OK,i believe in you ,i will not afraid from now on.”

     “Time is up.Now ,you can trust me your wife is still safe . So please hand over your brief case to me .I will tell you where your wife is after that.”

John handed the brief case to Connolly.

”Since you have deceived me for one time, I have to test the clothes you wear and your car.”

John did”t refused .Connolly found nothing in the end.

“Can you tell me where my wife is now?”

“Yes,she is in the city”s relatively dangerous East Side.Go to  save her. Besides, If you want your wife alive,your car must be left.I want to make totally sure that you did not left some posts on your car.“

“Fine，i will do it if you can keep your word.”

After that,John turned up at a pharmacy near New  Castle called Happy Harry”s.He asked one of the pharmacists for a ride back to Wilmington.The pharmacist offered to call Wheeler a cab.  But Wheeler declined and left.Nonetheless,he somehow got to a courthouse in Wilmington. He wanted  to tell the police his suffering,but considered that his wife was still being kidnapped ,and he might be followed by others. So   he told a garage attendant that his brief case  had been stolen and he was looking for his car  in order to leave the police some information about the secret posts.Apart from that ,  Connolly ignored to test John”s shoes,where he hided the most important post in one of it .He walked back and forth along the halls of the garage,held the shoe that contain the important post in his hand ,thought quickly in his brain how to make the post safe and save his wife. At the night,he changed his shoes and his clothes ,left the shoes in the garage.He knew his boss would find it ,because the small paper said “The secret are in our feet”.

On Dec.30,John spent part of the following day wandering around downtown Wilmington,still thought about those problems that will drive people crazy. It occurs to him that his partner Tom was nearby and he could ask him for help. So he went to the offices of the law firm Connolly Bove Lodge﹠Hutch, talked with a  receptionist for asking to speak with  Tom.

During which time that the receptionist to tell Tom about this ,John looked around ,found that the lawyer firm”s name was so similar with his family lawyer Colm  Connolly .He afraid that there is any connection  

Between them , and his secret would be known by someone who will destroy everything.So that he left there at once.

     After that ,Wheeler looked disoriented ,wandering around the Rodney Square area north of  where he had been .He was hesitate  about whether he should take risk to the dangerous area.  Finally, he  headed toward the city”s relatively dangerous East Area. After he entered there,he was surprised that wasn”t  his wife. When he turned back to call Connolly ,a person attacked him his brain in a blunt. We can see it was Connolly.He wants  to make sure everything will be okay ,so he murdered John. About Katherine,she only knows that it was Connolly save her.

Wheeler”s body was first  discovered coming out of a dump truck at the Cherry Island Landfill in Wilmington by a spotter,there to keep an eye out for hazardous waste.The cops quickly ruled Wheeler”s murder a homicide.

Both Katherine and the garage attendant said John has some crazy or demented symptom. And he was also considered to be a patient who suffered schizophrenia.

Wheeler”s dead still a secret .Even if his family announced a﹩25000 reward for information that led to the arrest of Wheeler”s killer,

no one has responded. However,what important is that his boss got the shoes he left in the garage . We can predict that Connolly won”t get away with murder forever. Some day ,he would become the  victim of his own evil deeds.
