L4-(1): The double life of Alfred Bloggs
These days,
people who do manual work often receive far more money than people who work in offices.
People who work in offices are frequently referred to as "white-collar workers" for the simple reason that they usually wear a collar and tie to go to work.
Such is human nature,
that a great many people are often willing to sacrifice higher pay for the privilege of becoming white-collar workers.
This can give rise to curious situations,
as it did in the case of Alfred Bloggs who worked as a dustman for the Ellesmere Corporation.
When he got married,
Alf was too embarrassed to say anything to his wife about his job.
He simply told her that he worked for the Corporation.

练习感悟：周五：一早送完娃，小宝今天是这学期的最后一次上学了，明天就开始放假了。我要跟她在一起呆一个多月了，每天只能有早起的时间学英语了。从明天早晨开始每天早上3点起床学习，中午不睡觉，这样就能早睡，晚上九点躺下就能睡着。要不然学习计划完不成的。中间至少有十天的时间回老家出去旅游。时间很紧张。
上午和宽妈约着爬山了，其实她是想找个机会跟我一起聊聊，出去放松一下。也好，也不能少了这个时间的。以后和闺蜜的约会也不能少。生活的调节器。
