Instead of seeking superficial pleasures from those harmful or empty or wasteful habits like smoking, chasing celebrities, playing video games, etc. We should learn to rewire our mindsets to transform healthful and helpful activities into true joys.
To start with, in physical health, those things can be drinking a glass of celery juice while rejecting doughnuts, cakes, cookies, etc. Maybe a lot of people wouldn’t think of it as much of a joy or a reward. However, we have to rewire our entire mind and reward system so that living a healthy lifestyle can be a joy and reward.
