Some people think that old buildings should be demolished and give way to the new buildings. Do you agree or disagree?

A city not only needs new buildings to improve citizens’ lives, but also needs old architects to keep their culture. If the old buildings are not the meaningful architects, maybe many people live in them, and they don’t have the place to stay except these old buildings. So whether the old buildings should be demolished and give way to the new buildings, it really depends on what kinds of the situations we are in.

For example some historical buildings which are fragile and affected the aesthetic of the city, but a lot of people live in here by age to age. The government has a new plan of this area recently, should the buildings be demolished? The residents don’t have obligation to give way their residence for the plan. Someone may say, cities need develop and development needs all citizens’s efforts and cooperations, and government are going to pay the equivalent value of the apartments to them. In my opinion, it is an exchange, but not a contribution.

In a word, at the same time officers care about the growth of economy, they need care more about the normal lives of the local citizens. The old buildings can be demolished at some necessary situations with compensation and should not give way at any time with a high moral obligation.
