碰瓷，“直译”，“碰”=touch，瓷=china！或者touching porcelain？可惜这样说依然不可以。
那英文的“碰瓷”怎么说？英语中有类似的表达，比如blackmail（讹诈），find fault with sb（找某人的茬），可以在一定程度上解释出“碰瓷”的意思。
当然我们可以先说Pengci，然后再解释一下：
pengci is a kind of traffic scam.
People will run into the middle of the street and throw themsevles in front of your car and extort money from you
或者：
the scammers will fake an accident to get your money.
或者更口语话一点，参照下面的描述：
this guy is riding an electric bike on the road, and then there is this car turning into the main road ahead of him, the car is very slow and there is a big distance between them, but this guy still falls over and when the police comes, he says the driver has to pay for this guy's hospital bill.
一个人骑电瓶车看到一辆车从旁边转弯过来，这辆车开的很慢，离的也很远，但是这个人还是摔倒了，然后交警过来说开车的还是得赔钱
正式表达可以说：
Scammers feign injury in traffic accidents in order to extort money from drivers.
骗子以装作交通事故中受伤对司机进行敲诈。

来看下面文章：
The scam may be as old as the automobile itself: A fraudster throws himself in front of a vehicle and demands that the driver pay for his self-inflicted (or nonexistent) injuries.
this is known in China as “pengci,” or “porcelain bumping.”
and these people are known as the “professional porcelain bumpers.”
当然碰瓷现在越来越难实施了。有行车记录仪
dashcam，还有其他各种摄像头，in an age of ever-present cameras, it’s getting a lot harder to pull off.
There are scores of videos online that capture these scams.
而且有些碰瓷还真碰触事故来。Some attempts have resulted in broken bones or even death.
最终闹了笑话，the perpetrators have become the butt of jokes and a source of public entertainment.
此外，英语中有fake insurance claims或者insurance fraud两个词，这样的事情是直接涉及到保险的：以欺诈的形式获得保险赔偿。意思接近“碰瓷”，但在中国，“碰瓷”并非都与保险有关。
