加拿大国际教育局（CBIE）近几年的统计数据显示：国际学生申请加拿大大学的数量增加明显。
就去年的国际学生本科申请数量而言，麦吉尔大学上升了25%，多伦多大学提升了20%，滑铁卢大学上涨了25%，UBC大学提高了15% 以及阿尔伯塔大学增长了30%。
随着申请人数的增加，加拿大大学近几年也在不断地调整入学要求。
2017/18申请季已经开始，此文为大家汇总了最新的加拿大本科申请的要求及变化，以帮助高三的同学们更好地准备申请，以及让高二的同学们尽早了解申请趋势，提早准备。
01.雅思要求提高
2017/18年，麦克马斯特大学和阿尔伯塔大学提高了语言成绩的要求。已经进入高三的同学务必要尽早完成语言考试。
麦克马斯特大学从今年开始，雅思直录由原来的6.5（5.5），变为6.5（6.0）。
阿尔伯塔大学从今年起，雅思直录由原来的6.5（5.0），变为6.5（5.5）。
约克大学工程工程专业的雅思要求为7.5分，商学院的雅思要求为7.5分。
滑铁卢大学的雅思要求为6.5分，口语和写作的单科要求也是6.5分。
02.高考成绩受重视
体制内高中的同学在申请加拿大大学时，要特别留意所申请的大学是否要求提供高考成绩, 且要求达到一本分数线。
今年，西蒙菲莎大学和滑铁卢大学从今年起需要高考分数，并且滑铁卢大学必须高考达到一本线以上并做高考认证。

03.认真对待申请文书
随着每年申请人数的增加，越来越多的加拿大大学，特别是一些热门专业不再只关注学生的学业成绩，学生通过课外活动所体现出的个人能力也逐渐被大学重视。
滑铁卢大学：
滑大以下专业的录取，不仅会评估学业成绩，还会结合学生所提交的额外申请信息表。
健康科学，艺术，环境与科学专业
工程专业
数学，计算机与金融管理专业
会计与金融管理专业
建筑专业
滑铁卢大学会通过额外申请信息表来评估学生的课外活动经历，所获奖项等个人软实力，以此来决定是否录取学生进入以上专业。
UBC大学：
UBC大学对于所有专业的学生都要提交基础的申请短文。个别专业，如商科还要求提交额外的文书与短文。
Explain how you responded to a problem and/or an unfamiliar situation. What did you do, what was the outcome, and what did you learn from the experience? (maximum 200 words)
Describe what you've learned about yourself as a leader and team member through your past experiences. Provide specific examples. What skills will you further develop and/or address in the near future and how? (maximum 200 words)
Tell us about who you are. How would your family, friends, and/or members of your community describe you? If possible, please include something about yourself that you are most proud of and why. (maximum 250 words)
What is important to you? And why? (maximum 250 words)
Describe up to five activities that you have pursued or accomplishment achieved in one or more of the following areas. Please outline the nature of your responsibilities within these activities. 50 words per description.
Tell us more about ONE or TWO activities listed above that are most important to you. Please explain the role you played and what you learned in the process. You will be asked for a reference who can speak to your response. (maximum 350 words)
Additional Information: Applicants may wish to explain why they want to study their particular program at UBC. (maximum 100 words)
西安大略大学：
毅伟商学院(Ivy)是西安大略大学最著名的学院之一。打算申请AEO商学院优先录取项目的同学还需要递交额外的申请，其中就包括Essay写作。 由于是分开的独立申请，一定要把控好递交申请的时间点。
约克大学：
与毅伟商学院相似，约克大学的舒立克商学院也有独立的补充申请要求，补充申请一般会在11月左右开放。
西蒙菲莎大学：
比迪商学院要求申请学生提交额外的补充申请表，来考核学生非学术能力。
04.视频面试很重要
多伦多大学：
The Rotman Commerce Supplemental Application lets you tell us more about your abilities, strengths, and interests. We believe that marks alone do not provide a complete picture of an applicant’s potential.
商学院的申请学生需要完成2篇申请短文，其中1篇为固定题目（What accomplishments or endeavours outside of the classroom are you most proud of?），要求在20分钟内完成100字以内的文章。另一题为随机题，学生有30分钟的作答时间。
完成短文写作后，进入视频面试问答环节，在2分钟内完成视频的录制。
麦克马斯特大学：
For Engineering and iBioMed admissions, the supplementary application will be used in combination with your academic grades. The supplementary application is a video interview that enables us to get a sense of your potential for future success, creativity, resourcefulness and resiliency.
工程专业的申请学生需要完成两个视频面试问答和一篇限时写作。面试时长为20至30分钟。
滑铁卢大学：
This video interview will give us the opportunity to virtually meet you and get a sense of who you are, which is helpful in determining admissibility as our applicant pool becomes increasingly more competitive. The best way to do well is to be yourself and answer all questions honestly.
工程专业的申请学生需要参加视频面试，尽管不是滑大的强制要求，但还是非常建议申请的工程专业的学生完成这个20-30分钟的视频录制。
UBC大学：
In the Video Interview section of your Personal Profile you’ll have a chance to showcase how you can think critically, perform under pressure, and stand out from other applicants.
