There was a beautiful girl on the plains. We called her Elizabeth.
One day, she met a handsome young man, William. They fell in love. William was the favorite son of the emperor. The old emperor was dying. He wanted William to become the next emperor. But these last words were only heard by his favorite wife --- William's mother.
William was too young to be an emperor. In a warlike society, he had no experience of winning a war. He had some troops but only because of his father's favor. Finally the fourth son of the old emperor, George, became the new emperor. William's mother saved William and made George promise that he would never kill his brother, William, but at the cost of her own life.
George was bright enough. He was good at frighting and policy. This kind of hero also always wants all the best things in the world, including the most beautiful girl. Especially when he heard about a prediction about Elizabeth: she will become the queen of the country, he wanted to get her for his wife. At first, Elizabeth disagreed. In spite of the pressure from the family and the power of the emperor, she still wanted to gain the opportunity to get married to William. Unfortunately, a piece of bad news came. William died during a war. Therefore, she yielded. But on the Day, Elizabeth got married to George, William came back! But it was too late to change anything.
Elizabeth was not only beautiful but also smart. George often took her advice. A decade later, the new emperor, George, died without declaring who the next emperor would be.
Some supported William. He had enough prestige among the people. Some supported the George's oldest son. Because it's always the oldest son of the old emperor inherits the throne. To avoid a civil war, they decided to find another candidate to become the emperor. We don't know for sure wether or not Elizabeth wanted her son Edward to be an emperor. Anyway, Edward, who was only a child, sat in the throne. William and Edward's eldest brother became the Prince Regent.
In the past decade, William still regarded Elizabeth as his favorite woman. Elizabeth said she did too. So William supported Edward wholeheartedly. William wanted to marry Elizabeth to make up the decade that they missed, which is laid acceptable in their nationality. But Elizabeth refused. She said it still puts pressure on Edward:. Elizabeth let William promise that he would've never rob the throne from Edward.
William was very entangled. On the one hand, he thought her brother George hounded his mother to death, stole the throne form him and robbed Elizabeth. He wanted to recover what he lost. On the other hand , he loved Elizabeth so deeply that he couldn't refuse her any request. Finnally, he chose love. Elizabeth advised him that he already had the power of emperor. It's no matter that he can't sit on the throne. And she always loved him. It would never change.
Nevertheless, as Edward grew older, Elizabeth began to worry about William's power. She thought it's time for Edward to be a real emperor. She asked William to give the power back. But this time, William refused. He said:" through all these seasons. I am still like a helpless juvenile. My mother died, the throne doesn't belongs to me, Elizabeth doesn't belongs to me. The only thing I have is just the power. How cruel you are to ask me to give it back!"
William got his heart broken by the girl of his dreams. Although he was weak at the time, he still got back to the battlefield and was killed.
On the other side, Edward was also unhappy. He was forced to be the emperor, brother he had no real power and was controlled by his uncle, William. Meanwhile, everyone was talking about the gossip between his mother and his uncle, which made him feel ashamed. In Addition, to connect with another powerful family, Edward had to marry a woman he didn't like. After his favorable woman and their son died, he was in despair. He gave up the throne and his home and practised religion and became a monk.
Elizabeth's grandson became the next emperor. It was her third time to assist a ruler in governing a country.
