Pride Goes Before a Fall
There was a proud teak（柚木）tree in the forest. He was tall and strong. There was a small herb next to the tree.
在森林里有一棵柚树。他长得又高又壮。在树旁边，有一棵草本植物。
The teak tree said, "I am very handsome and strong. No one can defeat me."
这棵柚树说，“我是如此帅气强壮。没有人能打败我。”
Hearing this, the herb replied, "Dear friend, too much pride is harmful. Even the strong will fall one day."
听到这个之后，草本植物回答道，“亲爱的朋友，太过骄傲是有害的。即使是强壮者也有倒下的一天。”
The teak ignored the herb's words. He continued to praise himself.
柚树忽视了草本植物的话。他继续赞美自己。
A strong wind blew. The teak（柚木） stood firmly. Even when it rained, the teak stood strong by spreading（展开） its leaves.
一阵强风吹过。柚树稳固地站立着。即使是下雨天，柚树也伸展开叶子，坚固地站立着。
During these times, the herb bowed low. The teak made fun of the herb.
在这些时候，草本植物低低地弯着腰。柚树取笑草本植物。
One day, there was a storm in the forest. The herb bowed low. As usual, the teak did not want to bow.
有一天，森林里迎来了一场暴风雨。草本植物低低地弯下腰。和往常一样，柚树不想弯腰。
The storm kept growing stronger. The teak could no longer bear it. He felt his strength giving way.
暴风雨变得越来越猛烈。柚树再也受不了了。他感到自己的力量正在慢慢消失。
He tried his best to stand upright（竖立）, but in the end, he fell down. That was the end of the proud tree.
他努力让自己站得笔直，但最终，他倒下了。这就是这棵骄傲的树的结局了。
When everything was calm again, the herb stood straight. He looked around. He saw that the proud teak had fallen.
当一切又归于平静的时候，草本植物直直地站着。他向四周看看。他看见骄傲的柚树倒下了。
Moral: Pride goes before a fall.
