1. This "Zoo-Wee Mama" thing has really got me worked up.
work up: to make someone excited or upset
I can't work up any enthusiasm for this plan.
2. The kids at my school are ALWAYS itching to see a fight. Me and Rowley...throw some punches.
itching是形容词“痒的,渴望的” be itching to do something就是渴望做某事。跟long for / be thirsty to do something/ be hungry to do something
My brother is itching to have a summer vacation.
3. A couple of the guys who were arguing over what happened to the Cheese were the same ones who were egging me and Rowley on yesterday afternoon.
argue over: 针对……
egg: egg做动词是“煽动……:to incite somebody to do something"
put all the eggs in one basket寄希望于一件事上
造句:What we would argue over today was why they egged us to fight.
4. So I knew it wasn't going to be long before someone put two and two together and figured out that we must have had something to do with it.

word做动词是to choose the words you use when you are saying or writing something的意思。

by word of mouth口头上,经口述

1. I've never been in a real fight before, so I didn't know how I was supposed to stand or hold my fists or anything. And you could tell Rowley didn't know what he was doing either, because he just started prancing around like a leprechaun.
分析:I've never ...before是一个固定的句型。
I’ve never done this stupid exam before/ I've never eaten such a tasty apple before...
be supposed to do something=should do something
I've never taken such a stupid exam before, and I cried right after I came out of the classroom.
2. I was pretty sure I could take Rowley in a fight, but the thing that made me nervous was the fact that Rowley takes karate. I don't know what kind of hocus-pocus they teach in Rowley's karate classes, but the last thing I needed was for him to lay me out right there on the blacktop.
分析:I was pretty/ way/ very sure...
the thing that made me nervous was... 比如我们可以造句the thing that made me excited/ happy/ sad...was...
the last thing I needed was只一个类似于上面的句型。
The last thing I will do is...
I am way sure that I love you, and the last thing I will do to you is leaving you alone.

Today my younger brother called me at noon, just right when I was watching TV. He informed me that he would recommend a beautiful song to me, and I never doubt it. So when I put the headphones on, you could guess what happened. Let me worded it this way: I almost went deaf because...I rushed into his room, and we argued over the whole music-playing stuff, I almost decided to throw some punches but when I spotted what he was reading was my favorite comic strips, I worked myself up and tried to apply some tricks to hog the whole book.
leprechaun(爱尔兰传说中像小矮人的)魔法精灵
fight one's way out of the situation摆脱困境
