Voters lined up at the polling place in Copley and talked about their thoughts on the election and on ballot question number 3, which addressed confining farm animals.
At the end of a tense election period, yesterday, November 8th, was a big day for the United States. In Massachusetts, a mostly Democratic state, many people showed up to polling places to vote, excited for the chance to elect Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate. However, the final result shocked most of these hopeful voters.
There are couple of citizens talks about their thoughts about both ballot question 3 and presidential election.
Colon Harrison who is a citizen works at a finance company said “I am exciting the election that it brought me out. I usually voted all of them, and you know I interested in what happened in this state in truth.” When he talked about how he feel about choosing between those two candidates, eh said: “It’s not too difficult. I will be optimistic in general. I felt like maybe your children and your children’s children will make the world better not worse”
Emma Kennedy who is a student study at Boston College said “I am concerned about the incidence of its expense that might fallen the proportionally on people with relatively low incomes, and so I think if we want to do something about that, we need to think about how we going to compensate people and continue to make foods be relatively affordable.” She excited to talk about she is a big fan of Hillary Clinton, she added “It is exciting to have a woman on the ballot to be a present and that is pretty awesome. I think this election revels lots of problems in the county and it extends to address those and it could be a great opportunity.”
Joe Sawyer who is a citizen living at Beacon Street said:“I voted to prohibited the confining animals, so I voted Yes on that question." When he talked about which candidates he voted for, he said" I voted the candidate that I felt; it is really tricky election; I don’t think that lots of people were over exited about the candidates.” Then he added “I didn’t feel either of the primary candidates of this selection are very suited what I would like to see in the office of president, so I voted for one of the candidates just simply do what we should do”
Sawyer also talked about how he think about this presidential election, he said “I worried about it, you know, our country, when we have presidential election in this country, this is not only in United States, it impacts the entire world, you know, we want the global super powers and so our election is not only in the United States, it has the influence, it impacts the entire planet.”
Britney McKenzie who is a woman woking around Copley area. She said “I voted yes to protect the farming animals and to be more stringent on the regulations for selling animal products and now I am not particularly attach to the questions, but as the way I voted, cause I have some level of attachments, so I voted yes on that.”
Mckenzie also talked about her thoughts about this election. She said “I followed the market a lot, I think the availability is really interesting, especially around the field that Trump is goanna wins.” Then she added: “and even early today on rumors of Trump could be the winner, I think that could be interesting, I am not the particular fan of either candidates, so I think it is defiantly tough election, because there is no a clear winner and both have some pretty serious flaws, but ultimately just have to vote for who you will think represents you interested the most and hope for the best, I guess.”
in Massachusetts, citizens prefer to choose to vote for clintons, but the day at the that election day, the results shocked them. In some democratic states in United States, they are holding some rally to against the results of Donald Trump be the presidents. But no one knows how long for this war will be last between lots mounts of citizens and this new president.
