Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
金色的树林里分出两条路,
And sorry I could not travel both

And that has made all the difference.
从此决定了我一生的道路。
《杀鹌鹑的少女》有这么一段话:
“当你老了,回顾一生,就会发觉:什么时候出国读书,什么时候决定做第一份职业、何时选定了对象而恋爱、什么时候结婚,其实都是命运的巨变。
只是当时站在三岔路口,眼见风云千樯,你作出选择的那一日,在日记上,相当沉闷和平凡,当时还以为是生命中普通的一天。”
无数条纵横交错的山间小径,盘盘区区,铺满金色的落叶,摆在你面前,你踏上哪一条?
每天摆在眼前的道路如此之多,无论作何选择,都要热爱生命,不去想是否能够成功,既然选择了远方,便只顾风雨兼程。
