A very poor man was married to a young and beautiful girl.
一个穷小子娶了一个年轻美貌的女孩。
His wife had exquisite,long, golden hair which everyone admired.
他的妻子有一头人人艳羡极美的金色长发。
She loved them too, and so did his husband.
她也爱她的金发，她丈夫更爱。
One day her hair clips broke down and she didn't know what to do.
有一天，她的发夹坏了。她不知道怎么办。
She couldn't assemble them.
她弄不好它了。
And asked her husband to bring her new hairpins.
她让她丈夫给她买新的发夹。
Her husband refused sadly. As he had no money to buy her new hairpins.
她的丈夫很伤心的拒绝了她。他没有钱给她买新的发夹。
He said, O dear, I have no money, not even to repair my broken watch.
他说，亲爱的，我没钱了，甚至没钱修我坏掉的手表。
She didn't say anything.
她什么都没说。
The poor guy was going to work when he saw a watch-shop.
这个可怜的丈夫去上班了，他看见一家钟表店。
He thought to himself, why don't I sell my broken watch to get some money?
他心想，为什么不把我坏的手表卖了换些钱呢？
I can surprise her with new hair clips.
我可以给她一个惊喜，送她新的发夹。
He didn't give a second thought and went into the shop.
他没多耽搁一秒就进了那家商店。
Soon he came back with some money in his hands.
很快他回来时手上有了一些钱。
And straight went into another shop.
他径直进了另一间商店。
There he got a glimpse of magnificent hair pins which he knew his wife will fall in love with.
在那他瞥了一眼那极美的发夹，他知道他妻子一定喜欢。
He was very excited the whole day.
他一整天都很兴奋。
He finished his work early.
他提早干完了活。
And wanted to rush to his wife within a moment's time.
他想一瞬间飞向他的妻子。
At evening, he opened the door.
晚上，他打开了门。
And was shocked to see his wife with short hairs.
他大吃一惊，看见他的妻子剪了短发。
He asked surprisingly.
他惊奇的问这是怎么回事。
She told him that this afternoon,she went into a hair salon.
她告诉他今天下午她去了美发店。
And sold her beautiful hair, to buy him a new watch.
把她美丽的头发卖了，给他买了一块新手表。
They both were in tears and embraced each other with love.
他们都热泪盈眶，在爱中相拥。
Love and affection can never be bought with money.
爱和爱情永远无法用钱买来。
It's not money or material things that keep you together.
不是金钱或物质使你们长相厮守。
It's true love that makes everything else worthless.
真爱使得一切黯然失色。
