"I Believe That We Can Win!"
This was the chant after the last minute of the Women's World Cup Final. The Team USA defeated the Netherland 2:0 and won it again this year.
The girls showed tremendous toughness and resilience in the games. And they also broke several World Cup records. I can't say enough for what they have achieved. The team's win is well deserved.
Also, the performance of Team Netherland deserves to be complimented. I mean, what is the population of the country? It's ridiculously small. But the Dutch have always belonged to the top group of countries for a lot of popular world sports. And how did they do that?! I remember a story when one of my family members studied in graduate school at a university in Delft, Netherland. One day a class of theirs was canceled for a few weeks. The reason was, their professor had to go to participate in the Olympic games that year. And there was more than one professor from the university who went to the Olympic games in the same year. Guess what, their professor came back with a medal. In a small country, you need people like that to win so many titles.
