经典儿童英文绘本欣赏：好饿的毛毛虫The very hungry caterpillar
以前我们曾经给女儿借过《好饿的毛毛虫》这个绘本的中文版。那本书印刷很精美，书的风格也很独特。那些被毛毛虫吃过的苹果、梨、草莓，都在书上留下了一个一个的小洞洞。
现在已经养成了晚上睡前给孩子做亲子阅读的习惯，看的书多了，慢慢地孩子也开始自己挑书了，时常自己选书让妈妈或者爸爸给讲。一天晚上，豆豆特别想看《好饿的毛毛虫》，我说书已经还回去了，她顿时眼泪流出。
为了让孩子熟悉英语，我在网上购买了一本英文原版的绘本《The very hungry caterpillar》 。也怪我粗心，买的时候没注意书的尺寸，拿到书以后，才发现我买的这本英文绘本竟然这么小巧，面积比我的手还小。只有以前看的中文绘本的四分之一那么大。书的尺寸虽小，价格却比较贵。 建议家长在买的时候，还是要选大尺寸的，我感觉那种大尺寸的看起来效果还是更好。
豆豆拿到这本书，倒是非常喜欢。或许小朋友的标准与大人不同，依依拿着书向家里面的人炫耀着：“看，《好饿的毛毛虫》，爸爸给我买的。”有了孩子的那份欣赏与赞许，贵一点也就认了。看来我挑的这个版本的尺寸，比较适合孩子自己拿着看或者拿着玩。
《The very hungry caterpillar》是Eric创作的最有特色的一本绘本。书里面不但有被毛毛虫吃得小洞洞，里面星期一到星期五这几页的尺寸都剪裁的不一样。毛毛虫的食量与书的尺寸同步增长。星期一只吃了一个苹果，到星期五就吃了五个橙子！看着毛毛虫在一本书里面穿来穿去，让这本书变化多姿，难怪小孩子会喜欢呢。

That night he had a stomachache!

The next day was Sunday again.
The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better.
Now he wasn't hungry any more -and he wasn't a little caterpillar any more. He was a big, fat caterpillar.

He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself.
He stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and ...
