sorry其实有很多常见用法，并不只是对不起。平时看美剧或电影的时候都能留意到。查阅了一下词典，记录一下。理解单词或者短语最好能直接查阅英文注解，我认为这样比较好。
asking forgiveness 请求原谅
1）felling bad because you have caused trouble or difficulty to someone else
给别人造成了一些困扰麻烦，感觉不好，希望得到原谅
例子：I'm really sorry I forgot about our appointment yesterday.

2）sorry is also used as a polite way to show your sympathy to someone because of a loss, problem, or trouble the person has had.
礼貌的表示自己因对方的一些损失、麻烦等而流露出的同情
例子：We were sorry to learn about the death of your grandmother.

polite negative 有礼貌的否定
1）used as a polite way of expressing refusal or disagreement
礼貌地拒绝或不同意
例子：Sorry, you can't go there.

2）used when politely asking someone to repeat something or when politely interrupting someone
没有听清别人说什么，礼貌地请求重复一遍；或礼貌地打断某人说话
例子："He's late." "Sorry?" "I said he's late."（sorry 用疑问句的语气）

1）you'll be sorry
If someone says You'll be sorry, they are threatening you or warning you and suggesting that something unpleasant will happen to you because of your actions. 有一种威胁警告的感觉，你会后悔的！
例子：Get back in there, or you'll be sorry.

2）I'm sorry to say
You use the expression I'm sorry to say to express regret together with disappointment or disapproval. 大概就是尽管有些事说出来会造成不太好的影响，但我必须要说。
例子：𝛼. I'm sorry to say that the project's funding has been cancelled. || 𝛽. This, I am sorry to say, is almost entirely wishful thinking.
