The alarm mumbled it’s blurred out sound. The crisp, fresh, morning air invaded my runny nose. I slowly raised the warm, toasty blanket while cold air rushed to fill the space. Goosebumps popped out of my skin.
旧闹钟无力的把我从睡梦中叫醒。干燥并着新鲜的晨间空气瞬间让我打喷嚏流鼻涕。我懒懒的掀起暖和松软的被子，凉风顿时把我包围，起了一身鸡皮疙瘩。
I stepped on to the frozen, frigid, floor. My weight warped the wooden floorboards, as they creaked beneath me. I slowly walked to the living room. The soft bubbling of the fish tank was the only sound there.
我起身下地，双脚落在冰冷的地板上，身体重力把木地板压的吱吱作响。我悄悄走进客厅，唯一听到大鱼缸里的气泡声。
I looked out the window and the sun was crawling over the horizon, unhurriedly. Eventually the world woke up and it was like time sped up.
我望向窗外，太阳懒洋洋的从地平线上爬起来了，不紧不慢的，终于唤醒了一切生命。时间好像突然加速，整座城市突然汽车拥挤。
The city was soon swarming with cars, the sun heated up and my grandpa’s kitchen was in action. The smell of oil and grease raided my nose. Rotten lettuce bits were thrown on the ground. The fish tank was no longer the only sound.
太阳高高升起，煎炒烹炸的香味窜入我的鼻子，那味道来自爷爷的厨房。我看到了扔在门口的生菜叶子，大鱼缸里的气泡声不再单一。
The floor wasn’t cold, it was like walking on heat pads. CRACK!! BOOM!! The flames cracked and the pan was on. Oil burning, food on and the family desperately communicating.
地板不再冰冷，仿佛踩着地热。噼里啪啦，锅碗瓢盆交响曲正式上演，火焰跳跃着，伴随着家人们愉快的交谈声，美美的食物呈现眼前。
I got to work, peeling the potatoes, washing the celery. The pressure was on, like a restaurant. The beads of sweat and the pounding of the heart.
哈哈，我要露两手了！削土豆，洗芹菜，厨房变得像餐馆一样紧张忙碌。汗珠滴滴的淌，心脏噗噗的跳。
One dish, done, second dish, done… The steaming wok sizzled when it submerged in the dark, mucky water…
一道菜完成了，第二道菜完成了......蒸汽缭绕着吱吱作响的大蒸锅......
The light gleaming through the stained window. The smell of delicious food and smoke. As we sat down, our mouths moved, our conversations started and our day began.
炉火映在窗户上闪闪发光。美味的食物香气中夹杂着浓郁的烟熏。家人们围坐在一起，愉快的氛围中吃着，聊着，幸福的一天开始了。
