Unit2翻译思考过程

一、

1、Half  an  hour  had  gone  by, but  the  last bus didn't  come. We  had  to  walk  to  home.

第一句主干是末班车还没来。第二句主干是 我们只好走回家。半个小时已经过去，并且描述的是过去的事，所以用过去完成时“had  done”剩余部分用过去时态。

2、Mary  seemed  to  be  worried  about the  Chinese  exam, because  she  was  unfamiliar  with  learning  texts  by  heart. 主干是玛丽对汉语考试担心。看上去是seem  to  be,对某事不熟悉是“be  unfamilar  with”

3、Now  that  the  basketball  match  has  been  postponed, we  could  visit  the  museum.

主干为我们去参观博物馆。"now  that" 引导原因状语从句，篮球赛已被推迟用现在完成时，后半句语态用一般过去时

4、He  lived  in  Australia  with  parents  all  the  way  during  the  World  War ||.

主干是他和父母住在澳大利亚。“住在某地”用live  in+地点。“在……期间”用during，句中谓语动词为一般过去时态

5、You  could  say  that  I  have kind  of  lost  touch  with  my university  students  since  I  gratuated  from  Nanjing  university  in  1985.

主干是我和同学失去联系。“自从……以来”用every  since引导时间状语从句，主句用现在完成时，从句用一般过去时。

二、

1、I  always  intended  to  write  to  them，but  there  were  different  things. It  seemed that  I  was  busy  .

主干：我打算写信，可总有事，我抽不出空。打算做某事：intend  to do  sth 经常性的动作并能坚持下来。
